The Solution for Sharp and Durable Prints
As a staple printing technology in today's fashion industry, heat transfer decal printing stands out for its vibrant colors and exceptional adhesion. The mechanics of this technique require meticulous attention to detail across several stages. First, the image is printed sharply onto a specialized decal sheet, followed by laminating and contour cutting. After the excess material is carefully peeled away, the finalized decal is placed into a high-frequency heat press. Under high temperatures, the adhesive layer melts and firmly "locks" the print into the fabric fibers, ensuring it will not peel or flake even after multiple washes.

The 6-Step Heat Transfer Decal Printing Process

Step 1: Consulting on the Suitable Decal Effect: Every design will shine with a specific type of decal. YOKO offers a diverse range of effect decals such as: basic PVC decal, metallic decal, flock (velvet) decal, glitter decal, etc., ensuring customers have the most optimal choice.

Step 2: Checking & Optimizing the Design File: Our technical team will thoroughly inspect your print file, ensuring it meets resolution standards and that the cut lines are perfectly clean for the smoothest printing process.

Step 3: Printing the Image onto the Decal Material: Using a professional digital printing system, the image is printed directly onto the decal sheet with absolute color accuracy.

Step 4: Contour Cutting the Decal: The printed decal sheet (or plain effect decal) is fed into an automatic contour cutting machine. The blade will closely follow the outline of the print with absolute precision.

Step 5: Applying Transfer Tape & Weeding: A clear transfer tape (masking) is applied over the decal. Then, the printer will manually peel away the excess decal material (a process called weeding), keeping only the actual design. This tape helps protect the image and holds the intricate details in place during pressing.

Step 6: Heat Pressing onto Fabric: Using a flat heat press machine with standard temperature and pressure settings. The decal's adhesive will melt and cling tightly to the fabric fibers, ensuring a sharp, durable, and non-peeling print.
